Crystalline Applied Waterproofing Membranes are the result of research and understanding of concrete's chemical and physical properties. Concrete is a porous material that will naturally allow the passage of water and other liquids. Xypex pioneered a system that will use water to distribute the product in the concrete's pores. This migration causes a reaction between the Xypex products and byproducts of wet concrete to form crystalline structures in the concrete's capillaries. This reaction and formation renders the concrete waterproof.
