The Matrix 502 Asphaltic Expansion Joint is a hot applied field molded expansion joint system. This product is primarily composed of a uniquely formulated polymer modified asphalt binder that is mixed with processed aggregate. When cured, this system creates a watertight, smooth riding joint.

The Matrix 502 Asphaltic Expansion Joint is suitable for use as both an expansion joint and fixed end joints at abutments and piers in many bridge types including concrete slab, concrete beam, prestressed beam and steel beam. This expansion joint system is designed for both new construction and rehabilitation projects.
